Located in Old Town Cottonwood, Verde Valley Olive Oil Traders has over 30 varieties of fresh oils and vinegars to taste. Olive oil tasting...who would of thought? As different as they may seem, the growing technique and tasting of olive oil is very similar to those of wine. Dark balsamic vinegar is produced from red grapes and white balsamic vinegar is produced from white grapes.
Owners Mike Kilpatrick and Dawn Waltman offer a variety of oils and balsamic vinegars that range from light, fruity and herbal to zesty. And on top of being full of flavor, olive oil and balsamic vinegar both have an impressive amount of health benefits. Once you begin experimenting with different flavors and adding them to your diet, you won’t want to go back to other less healthy oils!
The atmosphere at Verde Valley Olive Oil Traders is relaxed and friendly. Sampling all of the different flavors is truly a fun and incomparable experience! Each of the flavored oils and balsamic vinegars are displayed in beautiful Italian futis, stainless steel airtight dispensers that keep every drop fresh and tasty. As a part of complimentary tastings, visitors can sample a range of flavored extra-virgin olive oils including roasted garlic, cilantro, blood orange and all-natural butter. All the vinegars are Italian produced super premium balsamic vinegars and vary in flavors from strawberry to blackberry-ginger; they even have a dark chocolate flavor!
