Javelina Leap LogoJavelina Leap Vineyard & Winery

Javelina Leap Vineyard & Winery is a 10.6 acre estate vineyard, with a fully equipped winery and tasting room.  Owner and Winemaker  Rod & Cynthia Snapp make their superlative wine one ton at a time, the ultimate in quality control. The Snapp's believe that passion is the pathway to a great bottle of wine!

Javelina Leap

Javelina Leap is located minutes outside of Sedona, Arizona in a small historic valley named Page Springs. The tasting room, winery & vineyard are located on the slopes of a volcanic mountain, overlooking the lush greenbelt of Oak Creek.  The entrance is located directly across from the Arizona State Fish Hatchery and Audubon Bird Sanctuary.  Look for the green building and split rail fence.

Javelina Leap Grapes

Javelina Leap prides its self on their bold full body reds! On the Estate they grow Zinfandel and Barbera and they make serveral other varietals at their winery with grapes purchased from southern Arizona.

Javelina Leap's wines have won several notable awards. In 2009 their 100% Estate Barbera won the Wholefoods Consumer Choice Award, they were voted the Readers Choice Sedona Wine Tasting in 2009, They also took home the 2009 Arizona Growers Cup Gold Medal for their 100% Petite Sirah and the 2009 Arizona Growers Cup Silver Medal for their 100% Cabernet Franc.

New Tasting Room!

Javelina Leap Tasting RoomJavelina Leap Vineyards just expanded their tasting room. A large dark wood bar and gold ceiling make the tasting room an inviting place to enjoy wine. In addition to the new bar and larger tasting room space they will now display art work from local artists.

Sally Murphy is the first local artist to have her work displayed in the tasting room. In addition to being an artist Sally also works in the Javelina Leap tasting room.

"Sally's work has a living yet ancient quality and just like grape vines they have a deep rooted history." says owner and assistant winemaker Cynthia Snapp who is an artist herself. "Her paintings often include twisted tree trunks and tormented roots that enveloping and wind their way around earth and rock, reminding us of our own unique terrain here in the Verde Valley. " It's the struggle of the grape vines that give the wine character " says owner and winemaker Rod Snapp.
