Alcantara Vineyards

 

Alcantara Vineyards is the first winery on the Verde River and is one of the largest vineyards in Central and Northern Arizona.  Just two hours from the Phoenix or Scottsdale area you can make it a day trip.

 

Alcantara vineyards has over 13,000 vines and offers 12 different varietals. Try their red and white wines, which will transform your taste buds into the relaxing world of wine tasting. Enjoy their surroundings while you sip wine, which include the Verde River running around the property and bald eagles flying overhead.  Feel free to bring a picnic basket to enjoy our outside balcony and grass area.

 

The high country vineyards, near Sedona, Arizona are flourishing and make the perfect getaway when you are looking to enjoy Arizona wines in a spectacular setting.   Alcantara harvests wine in August and September, an event visitor’s are invited to watch.

 

 

 

Hours and Details
The tasting room is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The tasting fee is $10.00 per person, this includes a take-home glass with an etched logo of Alcantara Vineyard.

 

Wine Tasting & Tour Information
Visitors are treated to the Proprietress enthusiasm as well as to a picturesque setting. Our tours guide you through the vineyard with information about trellising, irrigation, varietal's and the philosophy of growing grapes. The tour lasts approximately 1-1/2 hours, depending on the number of guests and questions asked.  Call Alcantara Vineyards at 928-649-8463 for an appointment.

 

 Winery tours are on Friday and Saturday @ 11:30 am and other days by appointment, for groups of 5 or more. The cost for a wine tour is $10.00 or $18.00 if visitors do both the tasting and wine tour. Be sure to check out the wine harvest photos, so you'll be ready for next year.
