Steve Nippert is a retired special education teacher who currently resides in Cornville, AZ with Dana, his wife of over 36 years. He has lived all over the west, but primarily in Southern California and Arizona. Steve’s interest in art began in the late 1960’s, when his parents enrolled him in oil painting lessons. “My goal for the Painted Barrel Project was to commemorate native America and the great cattle industry of the desert southwest. I have always loved the idea of a cattle skull being brought back to life with the rich colors and geometrical shapes that really identify native America. The cattle or ranch brands seem to fit in with the overall theme.” Steve can be contacted via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
